Tirumala Venkateswara temple is a well known temple of Hindus, located in Tirumala in the hill town, near the town of Tirupati which belongs to the Chittoor district of the state Andhra Pradesh.....
Sri Kalyana Venkateswaraswami temple located at Narayanavanam is at a distance of 40 kms from the city of Tirupati, of which the main diety is Sri Kalyana Venkateswarswami temple. It is said that the daughter of Akasa Maharaja, Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru and Lord Sri Venkateswaraswami were married at this place.
There are four sub-temples:
Sri Padmavathi Ammavari temple
Sri Andal Ammavari temple
Sri Sita Lakshmana Sameta Ramulavari temple
Sri Ranganayakula Swami temple
In addition, there are five other temples attached to Sri Kalyana Venkateswaraswami temple:
Sri Parasareswara Swami temple
Sri Veerabhadra Swami temple
Sri Sakti Vinayaka Swami temple
Sri Agastheeswara Swami temple
Sri Avanakshamma temple
Brahmotsavams which are conducted annually are done at the main temple as well as in the temples of Sri Avanakshamma and Sri Veerabhadraswami. At the Sri Avanakshamma Temple, the navaratri festival is conducted every year.
One of the important festivals is that of Giri Pradakshina or Konda Chuttu Thirunallu which is held usually once in a year at the end of the Sankranthi. The Murthis involved in the utsavs are those of Shri Champakavalli Ammavaru, Sri Markathavalli Ammavaru, Sri Parasareswaraswami and Sri Agastheeswaraswami.
